Jada's Daydream

Hi, it's Jada again.  So today I was staring out the window and wishing it was warmer weather.  I started thinking about all the fun I have in the summer when Curt and Meg take us camping.  I really like to go hiking and swimming and curl up by a warm fire and all that sort of stuff.  The only thing I don't like about camping is I always get pine sap all over me and it's super sticky and uncomfortable... oh and also, I tend to get sunburned.  Meg always tries to put sunscreen on my ears and head, but Duke inevitably licks it off.  Wonder how I could avoid that this summer.  Anyway, here are a few pictures of me frolicking last summer at Redfish Lake.

Sunday Mischief

What a great day! This morning Curt and Meg went... well I'm not sure where they went.  Wherever it is they go every sunday for a few hours.  Anyway, Jada and I were in the house together and we came up with a little plan.  Meg had left an entire container of donut holes and a loaf of bread on the counter. I could see it just peering over the side from where I was standing.  Now I've tried to reach stuff on the counter before, but my little legs just don't cut it.  But having Jada in the house with me changed everything this morning.  She was able to pull them down off the counter and we just had ourselves a yummy little snack in the dining room.  Mmmmm.  My little tummy was so full I could barely move, but I couldn't stop because it was so good. The best part; Curt and Meg thought it was pretty funny and we didn't even get into much trouble.  I hope Jada stays in with me more often.

Fun in the Snow? Not Always

Hi, it's Maggie. I'm sure you all looked at Meg's entry about the snow today and all the fun we had playing in it. And yes, today's snow frolicing was good times, however, there was a time, not long ago, when it was not such good times. We had a tremendous storm, much like the one we received today, late at night. Curtis and Meg took us all down to the park to play in it. Duke and Jada could jump through the snow with such ease, completely forgetting that I was only several inches tall and was, therefor, becoming buried by the immense amount of snow. But it was so fun to hop in the snow and play with everyone and I tried to hide it for as long as I could. Eventually, there was no more I could do. Meg discovered me in the snow unable to move due to my condition. She was so worried and carried me all the way back to the house, mostly, due to the fact that I was unable to walk on my own. When we got home, Meg gave me a warm bath to thaw the snow and then we cuddled up in bed together. She loves me so much and I love her too. I tell her so all the time with my nose kisses. I have included photo documentation of this fateful night.
